This international forum will contribute to the development of constructive dialogue between representatives of the industry, authorities, education, science, and expert community, as well as generation of effective business contacts. It   will essentially give impetus to the technological development of the industry.”

The number of exhibitors from China and India has also increased this year.

The show was visited by Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia. Several Russian manufacturers demonstrated their innovative solutions to the minister: a compact laser welding machine and a complex for processing thick sheet materials from Lassard, a digital CNC system from Mechatronica, a five-axis machine and an ultraprecision turning and milling machine from the STAN Holding, a five-axis machining centre and the Astrei selective laser melting complex from UZTS, a new milling machining centre from the Sasta Machine-Tool Plant, an electric motor from the Android Technics Scientific and Production Association, and servo drives from InnoDrive.

Industrial robotics companies Promobot, Zavod Robotov, Eidos Robotics showed their developments.

The Additive Technologies section was very active this year. Rosatom demonstrated a RusMelt 310M printer that prints metal using selective laser fusion technology. The Institute of Laser and Welding Technologies of St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University presented a mobile technological unit for arc cladding. The Center of Additive Technologies exhibited printed parts for the aviation industry. The stand of APAT demonstrated products of several manufacturers: Onsint, 3DLAM, 3D Integration, Reditive, Tomsk Polytechnic University, and Samara University.

The Science and Vocational Education section presented educational programmes and technological innovations of such Russian universities as Stankin Moscow State University of Technology, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University, MISIS National University of Science and Technology, RUDN University, Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Tomsk State University, Samara Polytech, and Mechanical Engineering Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Mikhail Gordin, Rector at Bauman Moscow State Technical University:

“The link between higher education and industry is certainly necessary. There should be a flow of personnel from higher education to industry and back again. I am talking about teaching. And the material base should be developed. In particular, our stand presents training machines that help to teach how to work on equipment that universities do not have, for example, because of its overall dimensions.”

The exhibitors of Metalloobrabotka 2024 confirm a good ROI of the event and a high quality of leads. More than 63% of the visitors have already planned to make purchases from participating companies.
